A Mesrine double bill
I've mentioned the two Mesrine films, Killer Instinct and Public Enemy No.1, a few times in the paper and on this very blog, mainly to say how great they and Vincent Cassel are.
I think the films deserve to be seen as a pair, something virtually impossible thanks to the staggered release dates here in the UK.
Today, while browsing the website for Edinburgh's Cameo cinema, I noticed that they're going to be showing both films in September, meaning there's finally a chance to see them the way they were meant to be seen.
Tuesday 1 September sees part one, Killer Instinct, screening at 20.55 while part two, Public Enemy No. 1, can be seen on the evenings of Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 at 20.50.
Two nights is a commitment for the average cinema-goer (and the average bank balance), but if you love good films you owe it to yourself to head along to these - DVD just won't do them justice.
Head over to the Cameo website for full details.
