Being Elmo looks behind-the-scenes of the Muppets

Being a long-time Muppet fan, I was pleased to hear that the recent Sundance film festival witnessed some of the magic of Jim Henson thanks to the screening of Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey, a new biography of one of his old colleagues, Kevin Clash.

Clash first began working with Henson, the man who created the Muppets, back in the 1980s when he first worked on Sesame Street. From there he made appearances in Muppet movies and TV shows while rising through the ranks on Sesame Street as the head puppeteer (or Captain) and voice of the red and furry monster that is Elmo.

Director Connie Marks spent six years following Clash and trying to understand what goes on behind the felt. According to fellow Muppet fan, Chase Beecher, claims its "priceless for any die hard Muppet fan" and I'm hoping it makes its way to UK cinemas soon.

You can find out more about Being Elmo on the official website, on Facebook or on Twitter.

Watch some clips from Sundance below, thanks to Chase:
